Trail Ride – Barneston NE to Marysville KS

Ride with GPBC on the scenic Chief Standing Bear (NE) and Blue River (KS) rail trails from Barneston to Marysville and return, about 33 miles round trip. Most of the trail is tree-lined and follows the Blue River south into Kansas. We plan to stop for lunch in Marysville at the El Ranchero restaurant. To get to Barneston from Lincoln head south on U.S. 77 past Beatrice, Blue Springs, and Wymore. Turn left (east) on Hwy 8 to Barneston. The trailhead is on the north side of Hwy 8 on the south edge of Barneston. Meet at the trailhead for a 10:00 am start. Moderate pace (10-12 mph).
